Name: Albert Russell Date: February 22nd, 1919 - January 4th, 2010 Obituary: JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA – Albert G. Russell, 90, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2010 in Florida. Albert was born February 22, 1919 in Adrian, Mich., to Orville W. and Ella M. (Keifer) Russell. He married Viola D. (Kintner) Russell on Feb. 22, 1940, and they celebrated more than 69 years of marriage. His wife, Viola, preceded him in death. Albert’s passion was farming and gardening. Albert worked at both Maple Lane Manor and Lenawee Medical Care Facility for many years alongside his wife. They were both very gifted at quilting and made many quilts for charity. Albert was also a charter member of the Church of the Brethren in Adrian. He is survived by his children, Carolyn (Richard) Schermerhorn of LaGrange, Ind., Charles (Jane) Russell of Waldron, Keith (Juanita) Russell of Jacksonville, FL, Gary (Stephanie) Russell of Lyons, Ohio, Tommy (Lisa) Russell of Blissfield, and Richard “Ricky” Russell of Barryton, Mich.; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Lawrence J., and Edward D. Russell and one sister, Laura Mae Day. The funeral service for Albert will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Wagley Funeral Home with Rev. David Morton officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery.
